U.S. Tour Roster Announced for GLOBALLERS 2024 (15U Team)



Sporta enters its second year in partnership with Sun Chlorella a leading global health and wellness company. Sporta is in charge of managing the "GLOBALLERS"... Japan's top youth basketball team created and owned by Sun Chlorella.


In March, tryouts were held across Japan to select 14 players aged 14 - 15 years old. From here, additional training and camps were conducted to identify the top 8 members selected to participate in the team's U.S. tour.


This July, the eight selected players will travel to Orlando to compete in the AAU's top youth basketball competition (World Championship). One player from this U.S. tour will also be awarded a scholarship to enroll at a top US High School. Two previous scholarship recipients were places at St. John Bosco and Crespi Carmelite High School.

  • Taisuke Hiraoka (6'1" / 8th grade / Tokushima / RIZINGS Tokushima)

  • Kotatsu Taira (5'9" / 9th grade / Okinawa / Standard)

  • Keiji Koshi (5'5" / 9th grade / Aichi / Ryukyu Golden Kings U15)

  • Reishin Hatano (5'9" / 9th grade / Nagasaki / Nagasaki Velca U15)

  • Joel Sena Platt (6'3" / 9th grade / Nagasaki / Nagasaki Velca U15)

  • Sota Suzuki (5'7" / 9th grade / Yamanashi / Infinity Basketball School)
